Let's get started!

Your Teachery Dashboard (My Courses page)

This is the hub of your Teachery account. When you log in from the homepage of Teachery, this is where you will land. You'll see these sections at a glance:

  • Courses you've created (along with active students and total course revenue)
  • Courses you've purchased (along with our free How To Build A Course course)
  • Customer Activity snapshot (only displays after you get your first customer)
  • Manually Add a User (how to quickly manually add a user to your course)
  • Explanation of the navigation and chat support system
  • How much time is left on your trial (if you're in a 2-week trial)

Your Account Settings (My Account page)

Your information, password, billing, Stripe connection, affiliate status, API keys, and all that fancy jazz are handled here. Pretty straightforward, but let's dive into a bit more detail so you're completely familiar...

Customizing Your Course Overview (Course Dashboard page)

Your Course Overview page is the first page a new student will see when visiting your course. You can welcome your customer, offer a brief introduction of the course, set your course font, create a drip schedule (advanced feature), show off the lessons of your course, and brand the course as your own!

Reminder: We have two course themes. In the video below you'll see our Default Theme, but we also have a Minimal Theme.

Adding and Customizing Lessons

Your lessons are arguably the most important part of your course! We've tried to give you a ton of flexibility when it comes to adding content to your lessons, while also keeping your lesson structure organized based on best practices for online learning.

📄 We have an in-depth help doc on Lessons and Lesson Content we recommend reading.

❌👉 Important note about adding any written content in Teachery: We DO NOT recommend using Microsoft Word and copying + pasting your content from Word into Teachery. If you want to use Word to write you course content, please copy + paste into a simple tool like EditPad, then copy + paste from EditPad to Teachery.

Styling Your Course (branding it all your own!)

One of the biggest features we pride ourselves on in Teachery is the ability to style your course to keep a similar look and feel to your website/business. We have two course themes that will help keep your students engaged throughout your course, but we let you change the colors, fonts, headings, buttons, and more.

We have multiple style editors for your Overview page, Lessons, Payment pages, and Landing pages.

📄 You can read our additional help doc on styling your course here (with examples and helpful styling resources).

Payment Pages (how someone purchases your course)

Our payment pages are just as customizable as the lessons in your course, and we've optimized the payment page layouts for the highest sales conversion possible. We use Stripe to help process your student's payments and the setup is super simple (and your students will never know Stripe exists!).

Payment page features include: Custom branding, countdown timer, multiple currency support, recurring payments (monthly or yearly), adding tracking code (like Facebook Pixels, et al), turning notifications on/off, and connecting MailChimp or ConvertKit.

We have a couple of additional help docs related to Payment Pages:

Landing Pages (aka Sales Pages)

Payment Pages are the way your student makes an actual purchase for your course, while Landing Pages are what promotes your student to want to make a purchase. We openly admit that our Landing Page template is not as flexible as companies that focus solely on Landing Page creation, however, our template has been thoroughly tested for ideal structure and leading your customer through the buying journey of your course.

Landing Pages can lead to Payment Pages or can be toggled to collect emails if your course isn't quite ready for purchase.

📄 Read our full help doc on Landing Pages to learn more about what you can do with them along with additional recommendations.

Manage Course Options

This is where you control a bunch of core course settings. Each course you create will have its own unique settings.

Course Links (quick access to helpful course URLs)

The Course Links page within your course is a friendly place to grab almost all important URLs associated with your course. If you want to quickly find your Payment Page URLs, Landing Page URLs, or helpful URLs for your students (Login, Password Reset, Recurring Payment).

Customers and Customer Activity

Once you get your first customer you'll be able to view the Customer Activity feed (on My Courses page) along with your full Customer Activity and individual Customer Profiles.

📄 Read our help doc on refunding customers or revoking customer access.

That covers the basic guide to using Teachery along with our main features!

We have a ton more to offer, including additional help docs on these popular features and topics:
