Setting Your Social Share Image or Changing the Course Card Preview Image

Your Course Card Preview Image is great for social sharing applications and is completely separate from your Header Image.

The Header Image you add to the Overview Page in your course has a lot of (awesome) visual real estate. Because of that, it's not the best image to use on the "Course Card" (what you see on your Courses page) and it's not always the best for social sharing applications like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

Our Course Card Preview Image gives you the flexibility to customize the course card while keeping your awesome Header Image untouched. πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ•Ί

🚨 IMPORTANT: Course Card Preview Images should be uploaded at the size of 1200px (wide) by 630px (tall). This is the 1.91:1 aspect ratio that works the best!

Here's an example of the same course:

  • LEFT: This version HAS a Course Card Preview Image set βœ…

  • RIGHT: This version does not have the image set (it's pulling in a cropped view of the Header Image)

πŸ–Ό How to Update Your Course Card Preview Image

Adding or changing the Course Card Preview Image could not be easier! Simply hover your mouse over the course card and a small image icon will appear in the bottom right. Click it, choose your image (remember: 1200px by 630px JPG or PNG) and upload it! Boom, you're done!

πŸ”₯ PRO-TIP: You can use the Social Share Preview Debugger (free!) to input any URL and see how it will look on various social platforms.

If you're adding a new Course Card Preview Image in Teachery, it can take 2-3 minutes for the image to refresh in Social Share Preview Debugger.
