Make it simple for your customers to search all your course Lessons, Sublessons, and the content within them using our Course Search feature.
Click into any course from your main Teach dashboard. Make sure you’re editing the Overview page in a course and you’ll see two icons in the top left of the Header Image area.
Click the
icon and you will see the search button appear in the top right of your header image area. The icon will turn green indicating it is ON and will have a tooltip when hovering over the toggle to let you know it is enabled.
The search function will do its best to comb through all content added to a Lesson (or Sublesson). It will look through every text field, embedded item with text, etc.
We originally pulled the Search labels from text fields within the Lessons, but it got really messy
. Using the Lesson Labels from the left sidebar editor creates the most optimal and customizable experience.
You can quickly and easily edit the Lesson Labels to improve the Search items:
Like everything else in Teachery, you’ll find individual styles to maximize the visual appearance of these buttons to match your brand!
Simply navigate to:
The Style Your Course section in the left sidebar editor
Then click the Overview page
From there, you can customize the Search and Back buttons to your liking!
Why am I not seeing the Back button when previewing my course? The only time this will occur is if you are viewing the Overview (homepage) of your course! There is no place for the back button to go, so we don’t display it
.
