# Manually Adding Users To Your Course

If you don't need a customer to sign up for your course using a payment page and want to add them yourself, we have you covered!

This feature was created to help support course creators who want to manually add customers to a course (without that user having to do anything at all!)

If you have many customers to import in bulk, please see [this help doc](https://help.teachery.co/en/articles/125-bulk-importing-students-into-your-course-csv-import.md).

## How to Manually Add a Customer to Your Course or Theme

- Make sure you're in the **Teach** section in the top nav bar

- Click [**Customers**](https://www.teachery.co/teach#customers) in the sub-nav menu

- Click **\+ Add Customer to Course, Product, or Theme** button

- Enter the customer's **First name**, **Last name**, **Email**, and then **select the Course or Theme** from the dropdown menu

- Click the **\+ Add customer** button and they'll be added\*! ✅

> **Info:** Manually adding a customer to your course **WILL** send them the course [_welcome email_](https://help.teachery.co/en/articles/152-setting-up-your-welcome-email-and-course-completed-email.md#heading-0-1-welcome-emails) (unless you've disabled that email, which we don't recommend).
>
> This email includes a “smart” login and/or download link (depending on the course/product) which ensures a smoother onboarding and gets them right into the content.

## Are you adding beta/test customers to your course?

Or just want to test out how your course flow looks?

You can also use the **\+ Add Customer to Course, Product, or Theme** option to quickly add test customers or yourself. It’s a simple way to give someone access to your course without having to create a Landing or Payment Page.

That said, if it’s the full checkout experience you want to test, we **strongly recommend** making a [real test purchase](https://help.teachery.co/en/articles/212-creating-a-payment-page-and-editing-your-default-payment-page.md#heading-11-recommendation-test-your-payment-pages).

> **Error:** **Important:** Make sure to use a **unique email address** if you want to add yourself to your course (**don't** use your Teachery account email address).
