There's a reason why we don't allow our customers to upload videos, slide presentations, and audio files directly to Teachery. And that reason? Because companies like Soundcloud exist that make it so freakin' easy (and sexy!)

If you want to embed audio versions of your lessons, or any audio for that matter, we can't recommend Soundcloud enough. Plus, it's free up to 15 audio tracks! And, you can set your files to "private" and still embed them in Teachery with no playback restrictions. Pretty solid deal, eh?

Watch the magic happen...

ย

If you don't want to pay for SoundCloud (after 15 free audio tracks) you can host your audio files and embed them from Google Drive

This is NOT our optimal choice because the embedded Google Drive audio player isn't as beautiful and elegant as SoundCloud. But, if you just want to embed audio files and don't want to pay to host them, this is a great option.

Here are the steps to embed an audio file using Google Drive:

  1. Upload the file to your Google Drive account >>

  2. Double-click the audio file so you're viewing/playing it >>

  3. Click the 3 dots in the top right and then click SHARE >>

  4. Copy the "can view" link to your clipboard >>

Now, you'll need to replace one part (the bolded text) of this sample embed code with your copied share link for your own file:

<iframe frameborder="0" width="100%" height="200" src="https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzBGsRIic2a_Q1N6dWptU3RzMDQ/preview">
</iframe>

๐Ÿ›‘ IMPORTANT: Make sure you do NOT include the "/view?usp=sharing" part of the URL. You want to make sure to delete that.ย

Once you have your iframe code with your audio file added in the URL, simply pop that iframe code in Teachery's "Add Content" box area in a course lesson!ย

Your result should look like this and you're good to go!:
