So why the heck are we doing it!?

Well, we started with transaction fees because it’s what other course creation platforms were doing. It’s also what other SaaS (software as a service) companies do. But just because other people do something doesn’t mean we have to.

From this day forth, we have two straight-forward pricing options for Teachery that are fully-featured:

We believe Teachery is a very valuable and useful piece of software that can help your business grow and make money. It’s worth paying for. That's why we no longer offer a free plan. 

Our pricing plan options come with a 14-day free trial. We don’t even want to take a credit card number from you until you get in Teachery and start building your first course. 

If you love Teachery and think it’s the friendliest and most well-designed course creation platform on this side of the Milky Way Galaxy, we want you on board. If not, there are plenty of other options we will happily point you in the direction of.

When we talk about transaction fees going away, we are talking specifically about Teachery’s transaction fees. As a course creator, if you opt to use our beautifully designed Payment Pages you will still pay our payment processor’s (Stripe) fees when you sell a course. 

Payment processor (Stripe) transaction fees are out of our control. If you've ever used PayPal, Shopify, et al to sell something, you've had to pay their payment processing fees. 

Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.29 per transaction. So if you sell a $100 course, you will pay $3.19 to Stripe, netting you $96.81.

We've put a ton of time and effort in Teachery since the summer of 2014. We have big plans for the future and want to continue to build the most customer-friendly course creation software in the universe.
